About: I'm an ex-software developer, turned trader, turned web developer. I've been trading stocks for a living since 1999 and blogging about trading at TraderMike.net since 2003. In 2006 I co-founded WallStrip, a daily video blog about the stock market. We sold WallStrip to CBS in early 2007.

That process motivated me to get to work on some web ideas I've had floating around my mind for years. So I taught myself Ruby on Rails and went to work on FaveBot.com, which launched in November 2006.

Leonard Witt:

Hello Michael :

I am still using Favebot.com as my information RSS feed for all things having to do with public and civic journalism.

For everyone else, Michael --TraderMike -- has been blogging about investmentsfor some time. Now he developed Favebot.com. Here is his explanation:

“FaveBot” is short for “Favorites Robot”. It’s a software agent (robot or bot) that works for you by continuously searching for “stuff” that you want to track. That “stuff” could be any of the following: events in your area; new music, DVD or book releases; news articles; blog posts; photos; podcasts; videos.

Check it out. Michael and Deanna Sutton will be hosting tables on Friday night, Feb. 8 on Web Magazines.
